Model Bisha Abbas does her bit to protect our front liners from corona virus

Earlier here today, when the whole world is fighting the deadly coronavirus pandemic, Pakistani model Bisha Abbas took the initiative of donating emergency supplies of medical equipment such as PPE suits, gloves, masks, tissue boxes, sanitizers, air conditioners, ventilators, various medicines and mineral water to doctors and paramedics of KMC hospitals, who are risking their lives while fighting a valiant battle against the exclusive pathogen.

Amidst a flurry of disinfecting sprays, masks, and gloves, mayor of Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Dr. Saif ur Rehman, Dr. Salma Kausar, and Muhammad Wasif attended the exclusive event in the presence of some media and hospital personnel and shared their viewpoints with them. They appreciated Bisha Abbas’s initiative to fight COVID 19 in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Abbas said “It gives me immense happiness to be able to do something for these front-liners who are helping to keep my family and me safe from this fatal disease by risking their own lives. We cannot thank them enough and this is just a small gesture of my appreciation for them.”

One hopes that more showbiz people will follow suit and become responsible members of our society. Iftar boxes were distributed to all the attendees after the event.
